Apakah itu banjir?
Banjir berlaku apabila terdapat limpahan air yang luar biasa sehingga menyebabkan kerosakan harta benda serta kemungkinan meragut nyawa.
Apa yang berlaku ini telah diceritakan secara teliti oleh adik saya kepada saya dan saya juga tidak berasa amat terkejut dengan keadaan tersebut.
Sebagai orang biasa dan mempunyai rumah yang biasa, keluarga saya hidup dengan sudah cukup dan bagus serta mempunyai kesihatan yang terjaga. Alhamdullilah mampu makan, membeli belah dan pergi melancong dan juga menunaikan segala perintah Allah S.W.T. dengan sempurna. Walaupun telah melebihi 2 tahun Ayahanda tercinta telah meninggalkan kami, kami sekeluarga mempunyai kehidupan yang selesa sama sekali.
Ketika banjir 2005, keadaan rumah tidaklah teruk sangat, just a few minor damaged to some furniture. Jadi, bantuan yang dapat telah diberikan ketika itu, dan urusan membersih rumah juga telah dilakukan dengan baik sekali.
Tetapi pada 2010, banjir yang amat teruk telah menimpa rumah yang diduduki oleh emak dan adik saya sehingga ke paras 1.6 meter di dalam rumah (diluar rumah dijangkakan sehingga 2 meter kerana pengalaman saya sewaktu banjir 2005 meredah banjir di hadapan rumah saya adalah hampir 0.6 hingga 0.7 meter bezanya dengan di dalam rumah).
Jadi pada kali ini, adik saya ditempatkan dikawasan sekolah bersama-sama emak saya. Ketika itu, saya juga tidak dapat pulang ke Kedah akibat banjir juga memaksa jalan raya disana ditutup dan menjadi seperti sebuah “pulau”. bahkan, Kapal terbang juga tidak dapat berlepas akibat banjir di lapangan terbang.

Approximately around 4 to 5 days, that my mom and sister needs to stay there with lot troubles and human behavior can be told to us.However, please take note that only some of them is behaved just I’m about to tell.
First one – How a man can turn from a good person to a bad person within a second. They keep fighting for food, failed to take control of their family and become angry. They don’t want to help, but become angry to the volunteer that they don’t have enough food and proper food to eat. Also, they just keep complaining everything.
Second – Not honest. As the food supplies arrived, some volunteer keep hidden some good foods and just eat among them. For example, few chickens meat is not serve to all the flood victim, but rather cook just for volunteer. Even though they have right to do so because they were the one who did the cook and volunteering work. But it is not honest to keep it hidden from the other flood victims.
Third – Some of the muslim especially woman, didn’t trying hard to cover their skin (aurat) from the man. And also some Flood Control Centre did not separate between man and woman. This is true for the big hall. Given by this situation, the authority must make sure to make proper adjustment and practice it before the flood season. For example, if they are good enough to have proper place to become Flood Control Centre. They must make sure which side could be a place for family, woman and children, and man.
Fourth – As today flood is considered as human environment disaster (because the act of human, this is what it becomes), it is human or authority responsible to take action to avoid any further flood in the future. Build a dam, or deep underground water tunnel, or anything that could prevent people from becoming the frequent victim of the flood disaster. Why it is human environment disaster? It is:-
1 ) Human tore down the trees – Lost our nature rainwater catchment
2) Green House Effect – Made a North Pole Ice melting even more
3) Vehicle release lot of Carbon Monoxides.
4) Lots
So, the act of the foolish human bring the disaster close to our arm. Allah S.W.T. already mentioned in Al-Quran that Disaster is coming because of the human act. It is us that Allah S.W.T. sent us flood, volcano, hurricane, earthquake etc.
Think again my fellow readers out there. If we are not going to save the world today from the corruption of this foolish human up there, then there is no tomorrow to our next generation.
