Assalammualaikum,

Terpanggil saya pada pagi ini untuk menulis sesuatu berkaitan penggunaan Bahasa Malaysia di dalam kehidupan harian kita di dunia Malaysia ini.

Setelah melihat pelbagai artikel di berita-berita seperti Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian, Malaysia Insider, Bernama dan sebagainya, nampaknya kita (termasuklah diri saya) telah lupa bahawa ini merupakan bahasa kebangsaan yang menjadi kebanggaan kita semua sehingga bila-bila pun.

Pada masa kini, terdapat pelbagai individu yang mengelarkan dirinya sebagai bangsa 1 Malaysia, tetapi hakikatnya percakapan hariannya pun sudah diselang selikan pelbagai bahasa. Antara orang Malaysia sendiri bercakap dalam bahasa Inggeris. Sedangkan kedua-duanya pernah belajar di sekolah harian di Malaysia tercinta ini.

Sikap dan juga rasa angkuh tidak mahu bercakap dalam Bahasa Malaysia memungkinkan bahasa ini selalu diperkotak katikkan dan akibatnya di universiti pun mahu bercakap dalam bahasa Inggeris.

Memang boleh kita bagi pengecualian dalam sesetengah hal seperti meeting yang melibatkan bangsa asing, persidangan yang bertaraf antarabangsa, seminar yang dihadiri oleh orang luar negara dan sebagainya, tetapi kita juga harus sedar yang sepatutnya kita boleh mempertuturkan bahasa Malaysia dikhalayak ramai apabila bercakap dengan orang kita sendiri iaitu orang Malaysia.

Di universiti2 di Jepun contohnya, mereka dikehendaki belajar bahasa Jepun untuk belajar di sana dan perlu ada persediaan. Tetapi kita tidak pula dibuat begitu. Sudahlah baru negara membangun tetapi berlumba-lumba mengejar jurnal yang berimpak tinggi dan tidak seperti negara-negara seperti di Eropah yang tidak menekankan pun jurnal-jurnal berimpak tinggi ini.

Hasilnya, walaupun banyak jurnalnya, tetapi hasil komersilnya tidak seberapa dan teknologi juga tidak seberapa. Geran yang diperoleh sekadar untuk mendapatkan wang dan juga menulis jurnal, pergi ke persidangan dan kurang komersilannya.

Tahniah kepada yang berjaya mengkomersilkannya, tetapi bagi yang sekadar menggunakan geran untuk membuat sesuatu yang tidak ada matlamatnya yang jelas(hasil akhir), amat mendukacitakan. Jika membuat satu algorithma baru sekalipun, penyelidik tersebut haruslah mengimplementasikannya di perisian permainan komputer atau konsol (bagi bidang grafik komputer , sub daripada komputer sains).

Tetapi penghasilan algorithma-algorithma baru haruslah diimplementasikan pada perisian-perisian atau perkakasan-perkakasan yang boleh digunakan oleh jurutera-jurutera dan juga saintis.

Hakikatnya, perkara ini juga sangat kurang dan sukar Malaysia untuk berlumba-lumba untuk menghasilkan “benda” yang boleh dikomersilkan secara berskala besar.

Tidak guna jika dalam sesebuah universiti itu, hanya ada 1% sahaja yang terlibat dalam penyelidikan yang bersifat komersilan, kerana staf yang lain hanya duduk diam dan buat penyelidikan yang bersifat untuk mengeluarkan output sahaja tanpa plan yang betul dan tersusun.

Seperti fungsi Bahasa Malaysia juga, pihak kerajaan juga harus mermartabatkan penggunaannya untuk mesyuarat-mesyuarat dalaman dan juga majlis-majlis formal yang lain.

Oleh itu, semoga kita bersama-sama memartabatkan penggunaan Bahasa Malaysia dan juga cuba sedaya upaya mengkomersilkan hasil penyelidikan kita. Biar lambat asal kita boleh hasilkan mutu yang bagus.

Since it has been a long time before I wrote something down in this web blog style site. So, let write something about getting your work to be publicized for the benefits of our people.

At first, once your know that you want to share or to contribute something to the body of knowledge for your research that you have been doing for the past few years, you need to know a couple of things.

Getting publicize your work means that your work is going to be recognized, known, critics, loved, and commented by most of the people in your research area or the people that have known you.

Imagine you want to share your opinion regarding others decision that has been made in their article or want to comment something from the local newspaper, all people might have different ideas or different thinking that might love or critic your way of thinking.

Let say your introduce some new algorithms from your research, and someone which is an expert in your area found that your publication is not worth enough to get attention from other researchers. Our contribution might be small but at least you have found something that spark the beginning of the bigger one. Never lets the critics from the expert makes your thinking goes down. Just take it positively and try to work hard. Make it as an avalanche to start move the mountain.

Don’t ever afraid to put something in your blog if you think that your opinion is good and just want to share your thought about some research or news. Be humble and always take comments from all your readers as positive as possible. You need to learn how to get the response from all these people in order to get to known whether your thinking in giving some opinion based on your knowledge is good enough.

In order to publicize your work, make sure to always read a lot and discuss with your fellow facebook friends about the idea and how you are going to comments about some article or research article.

Always trust your instinct when you do something and Allah will always guide us. Pray that your article will have good response and help others in their way of life. Share is a great things and always try to share your thought with others. You might helped others to realize their roles in this life.

After a few days without any entry, perhaps this one could make your day brighter and fresher.

I just want to write something about our daily life and the challenge on the future that might be surfaced.

Right now, the time shows 11.48 am, 4th April 2011, where I currently sitting in front at my desk, writing something.

Yesterday, me and my wife starts to clean up our rental house and it is quite fun having a person that will stay with your forever in this world and the after life.

Soon, might be after a few years, we will start having kids and the other fun also will be surfaced. Imagine you right now will undergo the phase or the walk of your mom and dad starting from you was born in this world until you are right now. Imagine how fast it could be and how sad your both mom and dad when you was getting married. Also, soon you are going to move to your own house and of course we are going to start miss them every single day.

Life is really great. Even right now I’m writing, I cannot stop thinking what next to happens and I don’t want to miss every single things that happens between my wife, our families, elders, relatives, friends and all people around us.

Life it is not about our work, It is the every seconds to your family that counts a lot. Because of that, family is the most important no matter what will happens to your work. You lose the job, you can always finds new one. But if you lose family, you are not going to have it back. Life is only once.

I having a fine and good life. With few research that I always like to do, some teachings, and some visiting to my research centre at Sabah. Back to our parents hometown. either my wife and myself. I always love to do this things.

So, to you guys out there, no matter what happens, always keep on smiling and don’t ever lose hope. Pray to the Almighty Allah S.W.T. and He will bless you with a good of health and lots more.
