Today in this bright sunday, let us talk about something that is related to our self. A human capability

Human capability is a unique. Created by Allah S.W.T., human can have their own thought and random decision and not like a robot.

Robot must have a battery. At most they can only stand for a few hours. To use nuclear as the energy? I don’t think so, you think nuclear can be bought for only USD 5.00 at the hypermarket?

So, robot must be maintained and operate only according to what we have program inside it. Even though there is so called Artificial Intelligence, but it is a random calculation by using certain human theories. They cannot even feel sad, angry, and mad.

Back to human capability.

Human is capable to determine their success of  their life.

Some people could run for 2 or 3 kilometers per day.

Some can hit 10 km, while few can reaches more than 20 km per session.

Given by the situation, it is hardly to believe that how can each human differ than any other human. Compared to the robot, they have same functionality and also can be easily hack by the people.

So, in order to become successful person, one must targeting what he or she wants almost.

Human must have some sort of a point before making a good direction.

Living without a point is just like a pointless life.

That is why Islam has taught us to have a direction in our life. To believe that someday that you good deeds is going to have a good result.

Do some easy thinking.

Why do you exists? Why there is only two types of human in this universe -> man and woman.

All living things also has the same things, only two.

Why we are attract to each other?

Why we have a feeling, can breath, a body that is completed to live?

It is this universe just exists on its own?

Just ask yourself, who created robot if it is not us? So, who created us? It is Allah S.W.T. that created us from the beginning.

There was a story that the barber asked a person why there is a lot of people still suffers if Allah exist?

Then the person is not given the answer yet. So he left for a while in order to explain to the barber that Allah S.W.T exist.

Later, the person came back and asked the barber, “Mr. Barber, you are not exists”

Mr. Barber said, I’m exist over here, why don’t you tell me that I’m not exist?

The person said, “Well, if you are existed, then all of the people out there must have their long hair cut”

Mr. Barber told the person, “It is because they do not come to me and seek me to cut their hair, they don’t have the information”.

The person, “Exactly, How come they will know Allah exists if they don’t come and prepare themselves with a knowledge? Knowledge of knowing Allah S.W.T.”

So, in our mind, do some thinking with a good knowledge.

Today let us talk about human computer interaction (HCI).

What is actually HCI technology?

Have you ever been wondering that the keyboard, mouse, and the joystick that you have been used for playing games either at console or PC is a HCI device?

Generally speaking, HCI is a technology that enable human to interact with a machine in simple manner.

Can you ever imagine how to interact with a machine if the machine is not being told what to do?

Few decades ago, human must involved in physical contact with hazardous material in order to conduct their research (especially in chemical industry or heavy machine industry).

So, researchers has been researching for decades in order to minimize the potential of human becoming the victim of any danger during at their workplace or any thing that involve heavy machine.

SO, they’ve introduced a robot to do the human job.

However, during that time, the robot functionality might not good as we have currently. But that is why researcher is keep going to perform research in order to minimize the potential of getting human in danger situation. Let say, we could have a better life.

Back to HCI again, HCI enable human to contact with the machine in convenient way.

But, It might helps us to do heavy work but the human becoming lazy and just to let the machine do the tasks. They cannot do anything if the robot or the device that interaction with the heavy machine is damaged and waiting for someone to repair it.

What I’m trying to convey here is that the technology is not always bring health or secure your life. Human died because of food more than the machine.

About 1 over 5 people in Malaysia has become obes. Their stomach is most likely just like the pregnant woman.

They becoming lazy to do physical work and just sitting in front of the desk and in the car without even bother to at least walk 1 km perday.

It is just my 2 cents.

My advice – try to walk around at least 2 blocks perday or 1 km perday. Spend some 30 minutes after Subuh Prayer and then back to the house and start prepare to go to work.

Get a healty life even though you are the most influence people in your research. Make an example for young researchers to follow so they not just sitting in the office without doing nothing.

Today, let us talk about math. Yup, a dreaded subject that almost 90% hate it because it never turn out good for student to score.

Mathematics. Well, believe it or not, It originally came from the Egyptian countries ten of thousands years ago. [Source :-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_mathematics]

Yet, many people seems to hate it so much and just want to pass the mathematics subject instead of getting good at it.

You might surprise that ENGINEERING CAME FROM MATHEMATICS. And so with Science and Technology.

You cannot solve engineering problem if you do not define it in mathematical function.

All the formula is a mathematical equations.

So, what is the point of having the mathematics subject remove from the main course of engineering?

The point that I’m trying to make here to make myself and other people that might read my article right now to realize that mathematics is a marvelous subject.

You must put in your heart to love it more than any other subject because thanks to the person ten of thousands years ago found a solution to your engineering problems.

Even in my 3D visualization, I need to use so called matrix transformation, vector, and few others elements to make the object move in motion.

You never see 3D animation if there is no mathematics.

Life will be disastrous if mathematics has not been found ten of thousands year ago.

For muslim, it is our responsible to become great mathematician or engineer , etc as we have a lot of well-known mathematician long long time ago. It is also for us to keep on study until the death come and greet us. Because knowledge is never has it ends. it is continuous process where you will keep on gaining the knowledge. Knowledge is not just by doing a PhD, but during your period as engineer, you also will learn some other stuff instead of your job as engineer.
